Boosting the regulatory framework and supervision

A fundamental part of our industry lies in the development and updating of regulations related to commercial vehicles.

Examples of these are the fuel quality standard NOM-016-CRE, the standard for limits on pollutant emissions for our vehicles NOM-044-SEMARNAT, the standard for weights and dimensions for vehicles in circulation NOM-012-SCT, as well as the development of regulations for minimum safety conditions for vehicles currently reflected in the NMX-D-317-IMNC-2018.

Coordinated by the Technical and Engineering Directorate of ANPACT.

Boosting the domestic market

Their job is to bring the newest vehicles with cutting-edge technologies to Mexican streets and highways so that we have safe, clean and competitive vehicles.

We achieve this by promoting incentives that contribute to public policy and legislative efforts whose effects help the internal market of the industry flourish.

Boosting exports

Mexico is a world leader in the production and export of commercial cargo and passenger vehicles. We are the 1st exporter of tractor-trailers, the 4th exporter of heavy vehicles, and the 6th producer of heavy cargo vehicles, above Brazil and Germany.

This is why we continually work to establish links with our counterparts in countries such as the USA, Canada, Brazil and Colombia, and we also continually collaborate with Mexican authorities to establish and improve trade agreements.

We achieve this by obtaining and analyzing information on relevant topics that have an impact on foreign trade and customs for the heavy vehicle industry in Mexico.

Coordinates the Directorate of Foreign Trade and Economic Studies of ANPACT.
